This tour was the best thing we did on our entire 2 week trip to St Lucia. There's so much to do, we did land and sea tours, sunset cruises, hikes, the mud baths, waterfalls, and we loved every moment of it. But as foodies, this tour topped all of it for us. For anyone staying in St Lucia for a while, do this trip - especially if you're staying in resorts (where the food and drink often caters to tourists).
Chris picked us up in the morning, and he was fantastic all day. He was a smooth driver, and good fun and conversation. He loves food - offering his personal snacks for me and wife to try during the day, and even stopped off at the local supermarket to pick up a local "ting" soft drink for me to try.
The amount of rum available on this trip is ridiculous - we probably tried 20-30 rums between us. Check with the tour guide the plan for the day - if you're doing both the rum tour and the infused rums before lunch (like we did) I'd recommend trying more at the infused rum stop as they were incredible.
The lunch is the highlight of the day, being invited into someone's home for the most incredible food is an experience we've never had on holiday before. And the lunch food was some of the best we'd had in our entire life.
They were also able to change it up for dietary requirements. I have a nut allergy, and my wife does not eat fish, but they were able to change the breakfast and lunch without a problem.

A great day out.... Chris started with a traditional St Lucian breakfast in Soufriere, followed by a rum distillery tour, sauce tasting, another rum tasting of flavoured rums. These were followed by lunch at Delvins Mom's house (delicious) and a tour of Tony's fruit farm (and cashew roasting).
We learnt a lot and thoroughly enjoyed our day out! Highly recommended!

Wonderful experience. A delicious culinary adventure showcasing true St. Lucian food that you almost certainly won’t find at your hotel or resort. Beautiful scenery along the way and plenty of diversity including a delicious breakfast, rum-tasting, a farm with the freshest fruits we’ve ever had, and… even a visit to mom’s house for lunch. Traffic aside… a delightful way to spend a day.

Had a great day being driven around and shown the sites.
Had an authentic lunch at his Aunties house with a stunning view over the sea.
Trip to the distillery was good and you are allowed to sample all their products, even the really expensive Rums.
Highly recommended for a personal, relaxed tour.

Farm experience and infused rums experience were both great. Food for breakfast and lunch could be more diverse. We would like to try more variety of St Lucian cuisine. We ate salted cod fish for both breakfast and lunch.

The reason this tour has been rated highly on Trip advisor is because those reviewers probably DID experience what was listed in the description.
The rum tasting was very nice… but not worth the money without being able to taste Caribbean foods other than salted cod and fruit. It is is stated in the tour review on viatour: You'll be sampling “Plantain Chips and authentic Lucian snacks such as Tamerine Balls, Guava/Ginger Fudge and Goose Berry Jam at Del's Rain Forest Cafe.” “You’ll be able to sample all sorts of island cuisine, including grilled or stewed pork, blood pudding.
We never tasted any of the above. After we complained and asked for some of our money back from the tour that was so disappointing, the company literally wrote to me that one of the places we were hoping to eat Caribbean foods other than salted cod had closed in December! Seriously! Having salted cod for breakfast and then having it again along with an American salad of lettuce and tomato for lunch is not my idea of "tasting authentic Caribbean cuisine".
Nothing in the description said to bring water shoes to traverse a rocky fast running stream . We were told the day before the tour, while we were already in St. Lucia. Going barefoot was not pleasant on the slippery rocks…to say nothing of dangerous,
My suggestion is… change your tour description in viator to accurately depict what the tour really is about.
Also, apparently from the reviews, Devlin is the one who does a great job. Our driver Chris had no commentary about St. Lucia and only talked when we asked a question. I had to ask him to come back to take my arm while crossing the rocky stream, since he had already booked across with his rubber boots on. There was supposed to be a walking bridge over the stream...but it had washed away. I would think putting it back in shape would be a priority for a tour company.
We never toured any farm, never saw any of the products being grown, got one segment of orange to eat, 1/2 a banana, a part of another tropical fruit, and a drink of coconut water.
I would be wary of this tour and I would definitely contact the tour people and get them to specify exactly the foods, etc. you will be served. Don't find out like we did - that one of the places had closed and that you will be eating salted cod for breakfast and lunch.
After much back and forth, I did finally received a paltry 1/4 of the price of the tour back. Considering our disappointment in the fact that the tour was not what it touted it would be, it really was not a favorable remuneration. We could have paid half the cost and just gone on a rum tasting tour.

Sorry you had this experience. Cod is out culture this is why it's stressed on. The stream to sole people is a great experience especially to walk through it. This tour is to take you away from the usual. We did do a partial refund. Some things are seasonal fruit wise so not everything can be present. I guess you cannot please anyone. We try and many people love this tour.

Highlight of the trip! We had an amazing time on the Food and Rum tour with Delvin! He is so friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the island where he was born and raised. We even got to have lunch at his lovely and gracious mom’s home. We got to try authentic local dishes, baked goods, rum, fruits, fresh roasted cashews, juice, and hot sauces. Delvin can also make recommendations for restaurants and experiences around the island so consider booking this early in your trip. It is truly a special and intimate experience. Highly recommend!

Oh my, where do I start? This tour was so amazing, I think this was my favorite out of all of the excursions that I attended while in St Lucia. Delvin was such a great host and he made sure that we were having a great time. He was so full of life and very knowledgeable. The food was TOP TIER, I am missing it so much right now. The Rum tour was very interesting and also very fun. I can say that I ate a lot and tried a lot of rum but I also learned a lot which made it even more fun. I can't wait to come back.

It's been almost a full year since we went on this tour, and we still can't believe how great it was. Delvin was a phenomenal host, even supplying a birthday cake for one of our group members. If you are looking for a chance to get away from the tourists and have a more authentic St. Lucian experience, this is it. One of the most unique and memorable things we have done on any trip we've taken.
