Veronica is the best tour guide we ever had. Warm, friendly and very informative. She told us all about the places we went, but as if she was a friend, not a lecturer. Bring your walking shoes. It was about 15,000 steps at a slow pace. I would recommend her and this trip to anyone.

First of all, the guides and the driver were lovely, informative and knowledgeable. It seems like an overall problem with the company and the way they run/schedule the trip. Here are a few negative highlight which made the day overall chaotic and not what we expected based on the trip description/what we paid for:
-the tour overall feels overpriced. For one, you have a lot of people involved, driver, bus tour guide, and a Córdoba tour guide. The bus tour guide was nice, but overall not needed if the driver was able to do both roles. Since the bus tour guide didn’t really have a ton of knowledge about Córdoba and didn’t provide a ton of education on the drive, the driver could have easily drove us and then told us where to meet up when we were done.
- we were supposed to get to/from hotel transport but had to walk 7 mins to pick up and 15 mins back - first world problems, but we paid $120 each... so I expect some level of comfort
-person “added” to tour at 7:45 am - this is what we were told at least.. we were told we had picked up everyone and were on our way, but then the bus guide said he was told someone was “added” and we had to go get them. Turns out it was at a hotel we had JUST been at. I’m wondering if the tour forgot the person and the hotel called for them or something, and that was just what we were told? I don’t know how someone could add so early in the morning on a Sunday when the office etc is closed.
-we added in the optional Carmona option when we booked with trip advisor (and paid extra) but was told the city was “closed” and to request refund from TripAdvisor. We had to specifically ask after the bus guide reviewed the itinerary - it wasn’t announced and if we had forgotten about it (in the hectic nature of traveling) we wouldn’t have known at all
-The schedule was very off in Cordoba-the tour guide wasn’t there when we got to the meeting place, and several phone calls later the bus guide found out that we were going to have “free time” to explore and meet with the tour guide several hours later. Then we were just directed to the city center to “explore” - which is fine, I’m an adult, but I hadn’t read much on Córdoba (what to see, eat, do) because I though were would get more info on the bus ride, and from the tour guide to inform what we did later on in the day. So we were kind of wandering and for sure could have done a much better job with the info gained from the tour via the original schedule. We gleaned that the original tour guide canceled or just didn’t show - no real explanation was provided.
-when we finally got a tour guide, we only had a 3 hours to do everything (the Alcazar, the guided walking tour, Jewish synagogue, and the Mosque) and it was frantic. It was rushed and piecemeal. It would have been better with the tour as advertised because we would have gotten more time to exploring on our “free time” with the guided tour ending at one of the spots. I’m not sure if the tour guide is typically booked for only 3 hours - the schedule on the trip advisor page says 30 mins for each place, and now, having done it, it isn’t nearly enough time
-the trip advisor post says “front of the line” access, but waited 30 mins in line. Again, first world problems, but when you only have 3 hours with the guide, and 3 monuments and a walking tour, it’s a lot of wasted time. It was explained that it doesn’t usually happened like this and was due to it being Sunday, but if the trip wasn’t flipped to the guided tour in the afternoon it wouldn’t have happened
-Book with caution if you want a tour in a language other than English or Spanish!!! Because the initial tour guide wasn’t there and they had to find someone else last minute, the person they found didn’t speak French and a French family was completely lost for most of the guided tour. They were told to ask for a refund from trip advisor, but it’s the company’s fault for sure
-I’ve been on many tours in a lot of places, and one of the things I most enjoy is learning about where we are and where we’re going from a local - an almost 2 hour bus drive one way is a great time for this, but we didn’t get a ton of info (our bus tour person was knowledgeable and did speak for about 30 mins for the whole trip) but I feel like other tours have done a better job with info and education during drive time. We found out later that the bus guide hadn’t been to Córdoba recently, and didn’t have any recommendations in where to eat, use the bathroom, etc once we arrived.
Overall, I would suggest not booking this tour - you would be better served to take public transport, book tickets online for sites, and read up ahead of time about Cordoba - the city, history, etc. You would save money and be more in control of your experience.

Beautiful excursion to Old Town Cordoba surrounded with City Walls, narrow streets and typical shops. The Meskita is simply amazing and shows a beautiful combination of both Mosque and Christian Cathedral features. Not to be missed.

I really enjoyed this tour mainly for the mosque cathedral which was genuinely one of the best buildings I’ve ever seen! So interesting and unique! The tour guide Ana was excellent really knowledgeable and took us to the alcazar and Jewish Quarter giving us lots of information in an engaging way. We could have easily spent another couple of hours in addition to the free time of 2 hours given after the tour as there’s lots to see and Córdoba is a beautiful town.
The only thing that I would critique is that during the journey time (nearly 2 hours each way) there was no commentary from the guide about Córdoba or Andalusia so we felt this was a lost opportunity to add value especially seeing how expensive the tour is. If this tour had been 50-60 euro per person then it would have felt more like a 5 star experience in terms of value for money

The Umayyad Mosque is a magnificent piece of work, with a complicated history, my simple advice to every body, is to take 15 minutes before going in, to read the provided brochure, it will help you understand and enjoy the Mosque more, even if you have done some reading on it before. if you do that, then you walk through the Mosque in the order it was built and expanded, and you will understand your tour guide better. We were lucky, because our tour guide was really good (Ana), she really added to my knowledge about that area, she gave us information that you can’t find easily, like picture number 4, it’s for an Andalusian eye surgeon ( Mohamed Al Gafequi), he was honored by the city of córdoba with that statue, and a common word for glasses in spanish comes from his last name (gafas), picture number 5, is the front of an eyeglass shop near the Mosque-Cathedral.
One thing to note: we booked our tour on Sunday, the Cathedral has a service from 11:30 to 3 pm, this might interfere with the line up of the day, in our case, it was ok, because we got to do it in the AM, and spend a good amount of time in it.
When you reach the Al mihrab of the Mosque, make sure to check with a campus, which direction it is pointed at, an interesting fact: it’s pointing South toward Morocco, and not east toward Mecca ( look up the reason, it is a very sweat reason).

Of course you can visit anywhere without a tour guide, but then you’d miss out on the infectious joy people like Anna spread when they tell you stories about where you are standing and the history of how it got there. If my history teachers had been half as excited about what they were teaching, some of what I learned might have stuck a bit better! The group was small, the van comfortable, the on-board guide Pablo informative (and excited) too. Highly recommend.

Tour was basically all day. We met our guide about 8 am, picked up a few other passengers, were in Cordoba about 10-10:30 where we got another guide for the tour, lasting about 3 hrs. Be sure to take a snack and water as there's no stopping to eat until the end. The stop at Carmona was interesting due to the history and view. Return to Seville about 4-4:30.

Our travel agent in Canada booked all our tours with Viator.
On their website today for the tour in question, the rate is $147.79 Cdn/pp. There was no discounted rate available but you could use a promo code, if you had one. Sorry, but can't advise further about why you're being charged the full rate on checkout.

Each of those day tours make for long days. Although my priority was to see Alhambra, we ended up liking the Cordoba trip best as the bus ride was wasn't as long as to Granada and our tickets into Alhambra were booked for 6 pm. The Cordoba tour was organized by Andalsur Excursiones, phone: +34-954-211-609. After we got to Cordoba, we stopped at another tour agency where we got another guide who was well-steeped in the history and architecture of all the sights. Andalsur may be able to help you, or at least give you name of the company they use in Cordoba. Consider an overnight stay in Cordoba if you can't find a day trip. Apparently, the bus service to Cordoba is good.

Hi
I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to find out from Viator whether the tickets to the 3 attractions (the Cathedral Mosque, King's Alcazar and Synagogue are included in the price of the Cordoba from Seville day trip) and someone in Viator that I contacted via email said "no" but when I called someone in the call centre they said the tickets were included in the excursion price (currently selling at £70 on Viator).
Has anyone done this tour through Viator recently and were the tickets included or only the access to the skip the line queue and therefore the tickets were at an additional charge?
Thanks ever so much!

Our Cordoba Day Trip from Seville including Skip the Line Ticket to Corboba Mosque Cathedral and Optional Tour to Carmona were all included for the price of $312.16 Cdn for 2 people. That price included the coach ride to and from Cordoba, tour guide on the coach, another tour guide for mosque, cathedral, synagogue. Great tour, there's no break for refreshments and cafes can be busy so bring your lunch and bottled water.Enjoy!
