The hotel is located on the First floor, and has no lift. Terrible stairs. When we arrived, we couldn't find the reception, cause there wasn't! The check-in took place behind the bar at the restaurant, and the staff could hardly speak English (or other, apart from the language spoken in Kosovo). The web anounces the hotel as a boutique, but IS NOT. Is an small hotel of a lower category (hotellet called in Swedish), with an odd refurbishment. It is supposed to be "artistic", but the result, believe me, is ridiculous: every wall has a different decoration, from a rough imitation of Gaudi's tiles (true!) to a "decorative" Leonardo Da Vinci's canon. Walls painted in different colours and materials, carpet on the floor (disgusting and not the standard in Sweeden), sad and pathetic lighting, a wardrobe that looked liked recovered from a students home garbage... All was new, but of a very bad taste. And the worst is that they put on their web site a photo of a lobby modern and nordic style, certainly not here, clearly wanting to create confussion about the product. The real business is the lebanesse restaurant at the street level, also expensive, and the hotel even does not offer the breakfast there. They give you a paper to go for breakfast at Clarion Hotel, crossing the street, and aparently a more reliable address. The price for one night was 950 SEK, and after passing 3 weeks in Sweden I must tell that this was one of the most expensive and completely out of market. Should we had known before, we had gone to another place. We felt cheated. Make you a favour and find another place in Sundsvall.…
