Hi there, We are so delighted that you enjoyed your cruise on SEAFARI and also that the kids had a good time. While the ship is not new it certainly does have a certain "African Queen" style to it and most guests prefer this to the modern and boring appearance of new designs of passenger ships. The ship has been modernised in the shipyard on 3 occasions during our 28 years of service and in terms of safety and comfort it is even more safe than the most modern designs. The safety of our gusts is our primary concern and we have never had an accident or injury to any of our guests since we started SEAFARI. Of concern to many of our guests is seasickness and any prospective guests will be delighted to hear that we have never had a single case of seasickness in the last 28 years due partly to the superior design of the new additions to the ship, it's large size and of course due to the superior driving skills of the captain! Fair sailing and happy days, Captain Ray and crew.

We had a wonderful trip with Ray and he crew today. Although it was very cold at sea, Ray kept the guests in good spirits with his mix of songs, jokes and language skills! Alex brewed the tea and coffee and with a shot of Sea Dog rum everyone was nice and warm and enjoying the views. Never has tea/coffee and some biscuits tasted so goods. Rusty the gorgeous red setter pub kept also added to the enjoyment.

The highlight of the trip was the pair of young sea eagles who flew from island to island as we sailed past. Flying right alongside the boat at one point with identification marks visible.

Incredible value for money for a family of four.

Get out this week if you are in Kenmare as Ray wraps up for 2019 this week. Wrap up well and you are in for treat.

Having turned up on a wet miserable day with only 6 people in total on the pier I doubted we'd be going anywhere. Luckily we were still going out and what a thoroughly enjoyable time we had. From Captain Ross singing songs and telling awful jokes to the spectacular scenery and wildlife was a hoot from start to finish. Undoubtably Rusty Captain Ross's puppy scurrying around the boat was a star attraction. They thought of everything from Rugs to keep you warm and binoculars for everyone to have a good view of the wildlife. Complimentary hot drinks and sweets and a little medicine to keep out the cold (Rum) A mention for Alex the crew mate who was always on hand doing something. Obviously we were there for the wildlife and we were not disappointed. It was wonderful to see the Pair of Sea eagles quite close up plus the seals and sea birds. It was one of the highlights of our two week holiday in Ireland and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

Accidentally I came across the tour at the Kenmare Pier. Captain Ray still had some room and took me along. Very lovely boats tour through the bay and we got to see harbour and gray seals. Stories and educational facts were told and it was nice to be out and about and get a different view of the mountains and the shoreline. We got served with hot tea, coffee and biscuits.
I very much enjoyed myself and would do it again at any day.

HI Sebastian T, A big thank you for taking the time during your holidays to review your experience on SEAFARI. We are delighted that you enjoyed your trip around our beautiful Kenmare Bay Area of Conservation and we hope that the rest of your holiday in Kenmare, Kerry and Ireland will be just as interesting and fun. Rusty was missing you the moment that you left the boat and I'm sure that he was looking for you on board on the next day's cruise! Fair sailing and happy days, -Captain Ray, Crew and "Rusty"-

A friend and I went onto the Seafari cruise with Ray and Alex on a rather windy but sunny day last week. There were four more people on board. We really enjoyed ourselves! There was tea, coffee, juice drinks, biscuits, sweeties and lollies, all made fresh and included in the price. We were given blankets agains the chilly wind and binoculars to watch the shoreline. It was a fun and fact filled trip and we saw porpoises (normally very shy creatures!) and seals and many sea birds.

Really lovely people but tour was too long just for the sake of it
Good for American tourists humour history etc but wasn't a lot of wildlife to actually see
Talk on seals went in for 30 mins !
Was bored at the end and craving to get home
Was 30 mins late starting and lasted 3+ hours
Lovely people running it and nice to children

Hi Garrett G, Thank you for taking the time to review your experience on SEAFARI. Thank you also for your very kind words regarding the SEAFARI staff and we constantly strive to give as friendly welcome and service to all our very special guests. SEAFARI gives a very personal service and assistance with complimentary binoculars and guidance in spotting and recognising the various fauna and flora that we spot during our cruises but alas, sometimes the weather and the wildlife don’t always perform on cue. SEAFARI’s commentary is as varied and comprehensive as time allows to give as wide a subject range as possible to cater for all tastes and interests. We are though very lucky to have the largest Common Seal rookery/breeding/pupping colony in the south of Ireland on the Kenmare Bay Special Area of Conservation. The Rookery is the main attraction for our guests we spend approximately 30 minutes close to the animals and most of our guests very much appreciate this time “communing” with our seal friends. Because SEAFARI has been visiting the Seals for the past 27 years we have established a very close and trusting relationship and the animal’s behaviour is as “natural” as it can get with human visitors in close proximity. Sometimes the Seal activity is very playful and there is a lot of movement and at other times they just want to relax and sleep on. We just have to enjoy their presence and accept the visit on their terms and sometimes this can be of less interest to some of our guests. Our advertised sailing times are actually our boarding times and in all our correspondence with our guests we explain that there is a boarding and settling in time on board which can take up to 30 minutes depending on numbers. We are sorry that you felt the cruise was too long but the vast majority of our guests really enjoy the time on the water surrounded by our beautifully spectacular Kerry Mountain and coastal scenery. Fair sailing and happy days, -Captain Ray and crew-

Seafari is the reason we went to Kenmare in the first place. Captain Ray turned out to be the most funny and charming host. Absolutely recommendable!
